Five Day Trek down into the caldera

OUR PREMIER TREK OF FIVE DAYS TO WAGAGAI PEAK at 4,321m, MASABA SUMMIT 4,152 metres. Two peaks plus climbing and crossing the Masaba Table which is a long flat topped rock rising above the alpine moorland and measures 700 metres long by 200 meters wide with 80 to 100 metre high cliffs all around at 4,020 metres via the new Sasa Trail from the newly constructed Masaba Camp. After summiting Wagagai Peak you drop down into the World’s Largest Mountain Caldera

OUR PREMIER TREK OF FIVE DAYS TO WAGAGAI PEAK at 4,321m, MASABA SUMMIT 4,152 metres.  Two peaks plus climbing and crossing the Masaba Table which is a long flat topped rock rising above the alpine moorland and measures 700 metres long by 200 meters wide with 80 to 100 metre high cliffs all around at 4,020 metres via the new Sasa Trail from the newly constructed Masaba Camp. After summiting Wagagai Peak you drop down into the World’s Largest Mountain Caldera and across to the far side to where we have a camp (Kaiyah Camp @ 3,695m) at the head of Suam Gorge from which is easy walking 1.2km down to the Hot Springs and the Kenyan border. From there you then have a steady climb across the caldera to the head of the Simu Gorge with views down the gorge as you climb up to the rim of the caldera and down to Mude Camp for a short rest before descending to Sasa River Camp. 5 DAYS at $550 trekking fees plus $35 per night, National Park fees. TOTAL $690 inclusive of guides, porters, meals & accommodation whilst the trek. Exclusive of tips,  insurance, personal  expenses & accommodation on the Ugandan side only, before and after the trek & transfers to and from the starting  point
